Set up automated messages to kickstart conversations with customers at relevant times.
There are 6 different types of automated campaigns, this article will help you understand how they each work and help your business.
Appointment confirmation
Send your customers a confirmation text or email when they complete an online booking. If you'd like to send this for appointments created in your management system make sure your webhooks are setup.
Appointment reminder
Reduce late or no-show appointments by reminding them of their upcoming appointment date with a text or email. You can setup as many reminders as you'd like before an appointment date. If you'd like to send this for appointments created in your management system make sure your webhooks are setup.
Review request
Collect reviews from customers after they pick up their vehicle. This helps improve your Google ranking and attracts more online business to your shop.
Customer follow-up
Automatically start a conversation with customers a certain amount of days after their appointment. Typically shops benefit from a few types of follow-up intervals:
- 3 day follow-up: Casually check-in on the service experience a customer had at your shop and resolve any issues.
- 3 month follow-up: Ask how the customer's vehicle has been running since their last visit. This is a great time to build good faith with a customer and show you care about their safety and experience.
- 6 month follow-up: By now, most customers will probably have seen a few other messages from your shop, so tread lightly. It's possible if you haven't seen them for a while they could have gone to a different shop, so this is a good time to ask how their vehicle is running and just check in on anything they may need.
- 12 month follow-up: This is called a "lost customer" follow-up and is usually your last chance to win back a customer's business. It's always a nice gesture to call attention to the fact that you haven't seen that customer in a while and you're just checking in to see how their vehicle is running.
Recommended service reminder
Increase your average repair order by reminding customers to come back for services they previously declined on their estimates. You set the interval and Shopgenie will send a reminder a certain amount of days after the RO with deferred work was closed.
Custom service reminder
Choose specific services and maintenance to remind customers about. You set the time-based interval and pick services from your repair orders that Shopgenie should detect. We use this data to create a countdown which will send the reminder to a customer. Need more help? Click here for a step-by-step guide to set these up.
