Quiet Hours | Email and SMS marketing

How Shopgenie helps you comply with "quiet hours" laws for marketing messages.

Quiet hours allow you to contact your customers when it's most convenient for them, while also helping you remain compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

When a marketing campaign is scheduled it must comply with the FCC and TCPA guidelines to protect customer privacy. To comply with this, marketing text messages and emails can only be sent between 9 am and 8 pm in your selected time zone. The hours outside of this are called quiet hours.

Shopgenie automatically schedules marketing automations and campaign blasts to send outside of quiet hours to your customers.

Blasts

Campaign blasts are automatically scheduled between 9am - 8pm in your shop's selected timezone.

Automations

  • Appointment confirmations are sent instantly when a customer books an appointment.
  • Appointment reminders are rescheduled if they fall inside of quiet hours (8pm - 9am).
    • If the appointment reminder is scheduled over a day before the appointment, it'll be rescheduled to 9am.
    • If the appointment reminder is scheduled within a day of the appointment time and the appointment is after 11am (local shop time), the reminder will be rescheduled to 9am.
    • If the appointment reminder is scheduled within a day of the appointment time and the appointment is before 11am (local shop time), the reminder will be cancelled to avoid any overlap.
  • All other automated campaigns are rescheduled if they fall inside of quiet hours (8pm - 9am).

Do not add marketing or promotional messages into your appointment confirmations and appointment reminders or they will violate quiet hours rules.
