# About 10-DLC

## How Shopgenie helps you manage SMS marketing.

To protect customers from call and text spam, your business must be registered through the [A2P 10DLC](https://www.twilio.com/docs/messaging/compliance/a2p-10dlc/onboarding-for-government-and-non-profit-agencies) process to text via Shopgenie's inbox. 

### New to Shopgenie?

As a new customer, this verification process can take up to two weeks. Our team will be working on gathering EIN and business info from you to help this go smoothly.

### Lost your ability to text customers?

If you're an existing customer who's been able to send and receive messages, but has lost the ability to text customers there may be an issue with your 10-DLC connection. Please notify us immediately and we'll get this fixed.
